PhatMac Help - Automatic Version Check

PhatMac can automatically check for a newer version each time the application is run. A small XML file will be downloaded from buzzneon.com, which contains the latest version infomration. You can check this file yourself here. This download only takes place if your computer has an active connection to the internet, and it happens in the background while PhatMac is running (ie: you don't have to wait for it).

The current version of PhatMac is displayed in the lower-right corner of the main window:

If a newer version of PhatMac is available, then a button will be enabled in the lower-right corner of the main window:

To find out more information, click the button to open the About Box:

To see the change-list for the latest version (and optionally download and install it), click the (?) button to be taken to the upgrade page on the PhatMac web-site.

The automatic version check may be disabled in the General pane of PhatMac Preferences.
