PhatMac Help - PhatBox View

The left-hand display lists all of the playlists in your PhatBox library. Select a playlist (by clicking on the title) to see all of the tracks listed in the large right-hand display. For each track you can see the track title, artist, album, and genre (use the scroll-bars to scroll the list). The width of the columns may be adjusted by dragging the dividing line between the column titles.

The Load button is used to initially load the PhatBox library into PhatMac. Be sure that the DMS Cartridge is correctly attached to your Mac - you may have a wait a moment for it to become visible after plugging it in. If the library cannot be loaded, you will be presented with an error message.

The Sync button is used to synchronize the PhatBox library to your iTunes library (this is only available once you have loaded both of the libraries). For all playlists in your PhatBox library that have a playlist with the same name in the iTunes library, the two playlists will be synchronized so that the PhatBox playlist contains the same tracks in the same order as the iTunes playlist.

The bar-graph displays how much free space remains on the DMS Cartridge. Note that this display will not update while the library is being saved. Refer to the usage bar-graph in the Save Progress Window.

The Save button is used to save the PhatBox Library (and transfer all songs and generate all speech) to the DMS Cartridge. This button becomes enabled once the library has been changed.

The Eject button is used to eject the DMS Cartridge from your Mac. It is extremely important to eject the cartridge before unplugging it from your Mac, otherwise you will lose data or the cartridge will become corrupt.
