PhatMac Help - Forcing File Transfers

PhatMac will only transfer a music file if that file is not already present on the DMS Cartridge, or if the local copy has a newer timestamp than the file on the DMS Cartridge.

It is possible to force PhatMac to transfer a number of tracks:

• Select the tracks that need to be transferred. (Multiple tracks can be selected by holding down the Command () or Shift keys).
• Hold down the Control (ctrl) key and click the mouse to cause the context menu to appear. (Users with a two-button mouse can right-click).
• Select Force Transfer from the menu.

A check mark will now appear next to Force Transfer, for tracks which will be forced. Select Force Transfer again to remove the check-mark (the transfer will no longer be forced).

It is possible to mark entire playlists for forced transfer:

• Select the playlists that need to be transferred. (Multiple playlists can be selected by holding down the Command () or Shift keys).
• Hold down the Control (ctrl) key and click the mouse to cause the context menu to appear. (Users with a two-button mouse can right-click).
• Select Force Transfer from the menu.

All tracks in all playlists will be set for forced transfer. No check mark will appear in the menu for the Playlists, however it will appear for each of the tracks.
