PhatMac Help - Ejecting the DMS Cartridge

Before disconnecting the DMS Cartridge from your Mac, it must be Ejected. The DMS Cartridge can become corrupt if it is Removed from your Mac without ejecting it first.

When the DMS Cartridge is connected to your Mac, the following drives will appear on the desktop (this is dependent upon Finder preferences):



Occasionally, only one of the above drives will show up - this is usually not a problem. If the DMS really is not mounted correctly, then PhatMac will complain. Simply eject the DMS, disconnect it - then reconnect it.

PhatMac has the ability to Eject the DMS Cartridge:

PhatMac will present a warning if the Library needs to be saved when the Cartridge is Ejected. A General Preference is available to have PhatMac eject the DMS Cartridge when the program quits.
