PhatMac Help - Drag Music

The most important use for the PhatMac application, is the ability to move music from your iTunes library onto the DMS Cartridge. This is accomplished simply by dragging playlists and/or tracks from the iTunes View into the PhatBox View.

Select a playlist in the iTunes Library by clicking on the title. Multiple playlists may be selected by holding down the Command () or Shift keys while selecting additional playlists. Hold down the mouse button, and drag the selected playlists down into the left-hand list of the PhatBox library. The playlists will be inserted into the list above the location where you dropped them. If there are already some playlists with the same name as any being dropped, then those lists will be synchronized so that they contain the same tracks (in the same order) as the playlists being dropped.

Individual tracks may be dragged in the same manner. Tracks that are dropped on a playlist will be added at the end of that list. Tracks may also be dropped amongst the displayed tracks in the right-hand list of the PhatBox library.

Playlists in the PhatBox library may be dragged into a new location within the left-hand list, in order to re-order the list.

Tracks in the PhatBox library may be dragged into a new location within the right-hand list, in order to re-order the list. Tracks may also be dragged into a playlist in the left-hand list in order move those tracks into the new playlist.

Be sure to Save the library after dragging playlists and tracks.
